China excavator sales tumbled more than 50% YoY in February

SHANGHAI, Mar 11 (SMM) – The top 25 Chinese excavator makers sold 9,280 excavators last month, down 50.5% from a year earlier, according to data from China Construction Machinery Association.

In February, domestic excavator sales accounted for 6,909 units, down 60% year on year, while exports expanded 62.5% during the same period to 2,371 units.

Sales of excavator in the first two months of 2020 amounted to 19,222 units, down 37% from the same period last year.

Domestic sales dropped 46.5% to 14,667 units, while exports jumped 48.2% to 4,555 units.
