SMM2, March 28: despite the global spread of the epidemic, Raul Jacob, chief financial officer of Southern Copper, believes that if the epidemic does not have a serious impact on the global economy, global copper supply will increase by 2% this year, which is expected to cause a slight surplus of global copper supply.
So far, the outbreak has not affected the company's copper shipments to China and the company's supply chain has not been affected, although some suppliers have changed the place of delivery, resulting in longer delivery times.
The company plans to produce 998400 tons of copper this year.
