Shrek has been developing automatic battery shell processing technology and equipment based on can forming technology since 2017, the company said. And in 2018 with the domestic battery steel shell excellent enterprise-Xinxiang Shengda established Xinxiang Shengda New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., Shrek holds 70% of its equity. The joint venture will use the new battery steel shell automation production line developed by Shrek to produce 18650 and 21700 steel shells for new energy cylindrical batteries, the main customers are Tesla, LG Chemistry, Samsung, Lishen, Yiwei Lithium, etc.

In addition, Shrek formed a joint venture with Hefei Lixiang, the exclusive supplier of battery shells to Guoxuan, in 2019, Anhui Sixiang Battery Technology Co., Ltd., in which Shrek has a 51% stake. The company is currently delivering an automated production line of 1 million aluminum cylindrical battery shells per day. The cylindrical aluminum shell produced by the production line is specially equipped for lithium iron phosphate batteries. And after completion, it can provide battery shell support for Ningde era and Guoxuan high-tech lithium iron phosphate battery.
