Handan to re-activate level II anti-smog measures after lifting the alert four days ago

SHANGHAI, Feb 26 (SMM) – Handan, a major steelmaking hub in north China’s Hebei province, will activate level II response to heavy pollution on 14:00 CST February 26, according to a statement by the city government.

 

The level II response, which is the second-highest in Beijing’s three-tier warning system, will remain in place until further notice.

 

On Saturday February 22, the city lifted anti-smog measures of the same level that started on late February 19.
