Primary aluminium inventories increased 84,000 mt over weekend

SHANGHAI, Feb 24 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary aluminium in China continued to trend higher over the weekend, as demand recovered slowly amid the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.

SMM data showed that social inventories of primary aluminium ingots across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, increased 84,000 mt from Thursday February 20 to 1.314 million mt as of Monday February 24.
