Resumption of work of Caijiaying Zinc Gold Mine in Griffin Mining

Caijiaying zinc gold mine is the first basic metal mine invested in exploration and construction by foreign companies in China, and it is also the first underground mine developed by China's own trackless ramp. The designed mining capacity of the mine is 200000 t.

The project is the first mining project undertaken by China Nonferrous Engineering Design and Research Institute of China Metallurgical Group, which integrates design, procurement, construction management, supervision and commissioning service (EPCM). The financing research of Caijiaying zinc gold mine project was completed in September 2003, the preliminary design began in February 2004, the construction drawing design began in April, and the construction started in June. Although the mine has experienced four months of severe winter in Bashang, the mine still produced concentrate products as planned in June 2005, the trial run was successful, and reached the designed production capacity in September 2005, creating a new record for the construction of metal mines in China.
