Alcoa has resumed power supply to aluminium smelter in Australia

SMM2, May 5: last Friday, Alcoa's Portland aluminum smelter in Australia lost power due to a heat wave in southern Australia. Alcoa said in a statement recently that power supply to the smelter had been restored.

However, there is still one power line that has not been repaired, and Alcoa did not say whether it had an impact on production.

Portland Aluminium smelter is a joint venture, Alcoa of Australia Limited has a 55 per cent stake; CITIC and Marubeni Aluminium Australia each have a 22.5 per cent stake.
