DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsConsultingSHANGHAI, Jan 21 (SMM) – China imported 1.67 million mt of copper scrap in 2019, with copper content averaging 79.72%, showed SMM calculations based on China customs data under 10-digit HS code.
This contains about 1.33 million mt of copper, down 1.58% or 20,000 mt from 2018.
In December, China’s imports of copper scrap dropped 53.02% year on year to 125,686 mt, with copper content of 85.12%. This translates to 106,985 mt of copper, down 25.43% from the same month of 2018.
