






SMM, Jan. 14 / PRNewswire-Asianet /-India imposes countervailing duties on copper rods and wires imported from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam at a rate of between 2.47% and 10.27% for a period of five years.
Previous investigations by DGTR, India's trade relief agency, showed that domestic companies were hurt by imports of copper wire from the four countries to India at subsidized prices.
It is reported that the Indian Trade Relief Agency DGTR also proposed a countervailing duty on continuous casting copper rods imported from the above four countries.
