SHANGHAI, Jan 10 (SMM) – Operating rates across licensed smelters of secondary lead in Jiangsu, Anhui and Henan provinces averaged 46.7% in the week ended January 10, down 3.2 percentage points from the previous week, showed a SMM survey. Downstream battery producers stockpiled moderately this week.
Anhui Huabo reduced its daily production of secondary lead in response to the upcoming maintenance. This lowered the average operating rate in Anhui by 8 percentage points on the week, to 32%.
The rates in Jiangsu and Henan remained unchanged from a week ago, standing at 56% and 57.5%, respectively.
