SHANGHAI, Jan 9 (SMM) – The quantity of China’s retail sales of passenger vehicles declined for the sixth consecutive month in December, falling 3.4% year on year to 2.14 million units, according to the latest data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).
This brought domestic passenger vehicles’ retail sales down 7.4% from a year ago in 2019, standing at 20.7 million units.
For November, CPCA data indicated that retail sales of passenger vehicles, including sedans, multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs) and sport utility vehicles (SUVs) in China shrank 4.1% year on year to 1.94 million units.
