Primary aluminium inventories barely changed on week

SHANGHAI, Jan 9 (SMM) – Aluminium inventories in China barely changed this week, as gains in Wuxi and Nanhai were offset by declines in Shanghai and Gongyi.

SMM data showed that social inventories of primary aluminium across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, stood at 610,000 mt as of January 9, barely changed from a week ago. This came after an increase of 18,000 mt in the week ended January 2.

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 192,000 mt

Shanghai – 109,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 129,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 49,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 53,000 mt

Tianjin – 57,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 7,000 mt

Chongqing –14,000 mt
