SMM1, March 8: Australian lithium developer ioneer Ltd said Wednesday it has settled lawsuits over rare wildflowers in a proposed project by U. S. environmental groups in Nevada.

Last year, the Center for Biodiversity, (CBD), sued U. S. regulators, requiring it to grant ion mining licenses to explore lithium in northern Nevada on the grounds that the area where the ion mine operates is the main habitat for Tim buckwheat flowers.

In a statement to the Australian Stock Exchange, ioneer said that after ioneer agreed to take further measures to avoid any impact on the plant, the center withdrew the lawsuit on January 3 and submitted supporting information to the court.

Ioneer confirms that the lawsuit will not have any impact on the company's ongoing activities related to the region, and ioneer expects its rhyolite Ridge Lithium Boron project to produce 20000 tons of lithium carbonate and 170000 tons of boron suan per year.
