Primary aluminium inventories increased 2,000 mt over weekend

Stocks increased by 2,000 mt from last Thursday December 26 to 594,000 mt as of Monday December 30

SHANGHAI, Dec 30 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary aluminium in China increased over the weekend, SMM data showed, growing the expectations that the stocks will reverse its months-long downturn to trend higher.

Stocks across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, increased by 2,000 mt from last Thursday December 26 to 594,000 mt as of Monday December 30.

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 187,000 mt

Shanghai – 110,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 127,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 40,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 52,000 mt

Tianjin – 57,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 6,000 mt

Chongqing –15,000 mt
