Primary aluminium inventories extended decline by 12,000 mt on week

Stocks decreased by 12,000 mt in the week ended December 26, after a decline of 44,000 mt in the previous week

SHANGHAI, Dec 26 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary aluminium in China continued to trend lower this week, SMM data showed, albeit by a smaller margin as the decline was somewhat offset by gains in the north.

Stocks across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, decreased by 12,000 mt in the week ended December 26 to 592,000 mt, after a decline of 44,000 mt in the previous week.

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 191,000 mt

Shanghai – 112,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 126,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 36,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 52,000 mt

Tianjin – 56,000 mt   

Linyi, Shandong – 5,000 mt

Chongqing –14,000 mt
