Primary aluminium inventories declined 7,000 mt over weekend

Stocks decreased by 7,000 mt from December 19 to 597,000 mt as of December 23

SHANGHAI, Dec 23 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary aluminium in China continued to trend lower over the weekend and fell below 600,000 mt, SMM data showed.

Stocks across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, decreased by 7,000 mt from last Thursday December 19 to 597,000 mt as of Monday December 23.

The decline was partially offset by an increase of 4,000 mt in Henan.

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 191,000 mt

Shanghai – 115,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 129,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 33,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 56,000 mt

Tianjin – 54,000 mt   

Linyi, Shandong – 5,000 mt

Chongqing –14,000 mt
