Inventories fell the most in Zhejiang on the back of unstable arrivals in Ningbo

SHANGHAI, Dec 20 (SMM) – Social inventories of refined zinc across Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong and Hebei stood at 113,300 mt as of Friday December 20, down 2,000 mt from Friday December 13 and down 4,800 mt from Monday December 16, showed SMM data.

While greater arrivals and weakened consumption in east China grew inventories in Shanghai, stocks in the other six areas registered declines.

Inventories fell the most in Zhejiang on the back of unstable arrivals in Ningbo. The end of environmental production curbs in Tianjin boosted downstream purchases, and this reduced the Tianjin stocks.

As of December 20, social inventories of refined zinc across Shanghai, Tianjin and Guangdong increased 1,300 mt from last Friday.
