Primary aluminium inventories extended decline by 57,000 mt on week

Stocks decreased by 57,000 mt to 648,000 mt in the week ended December 12

SHANGHAI, Dec 12 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary aluminium in China continued to trend lower this week, SMM data showed, with Guangdong contributing to more than half of the decline.

Stocks across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, decreased by 57,000 mt to 648,000 mt in the week ended December 12, after a decline of 50,000 mt in the previous week.

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 207,000 mt

Shanghai – 121,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 155,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 36,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 53,000 mt

Tianjin – 52,000 mt     

Linyi, Shandong – 5,000 mt

Chongqing –19,000 mt
