Hebei to activate orange alert for smog from December 13

The south central and east of Hebei are required to implement level II anti-smog measures

SHANGHAI, Dec 11 (SMM) – China’s top steelmaking province of Hebei will activate an orange alert for heavy air pollution at CST 12:00 December 13, in anticipation of worse diffusion conditions.

The south central and east of Hebei, including Shijiazhuang, Baoding, Hengshui, Xingtai, Handan, Dingzhou, Xinji, Xiong’an New Area, Tangshan, Langfang, Cangzhou and Qinhuangdao, are required to implement level II anti-smog measures.

The orange alert, the second-highest warning in China's three-tier system, will remain in place until further notice.
