SHANGHAI, Dec 11 (SMM) – The latest round of heavy air pollution that blanketed China’s northern regions is expected to ease today, according to the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.
According to the latest weather forecast results issued by the Ministry, the smog gradually eased from north to south China from October 10 noontime due to cold air. However, some cities are still on yellow alert until further notice.
55 Cities around north China have experienced continued bad air quality since December 6 due to bad air quality, and were on orange or yellow alerts for pollution. The hourly concentration of PM2.5 in some cities reached the "heavily polluted" level over the past week as air quality deteriorated.
