DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsCar InsightSHANGHAI, Dec 10 (SMM) – A major copper smelter in east China’s Shandong province has filed for bankruptcy, according to a source familiar with the matter.
The smelter remains in operation but is scaling back production, and it produced 400,000 mt of copper cathode in the first 11 months of 2019.
During the same period, overall copper cathode production in China stood at 8.14 million mt, showed SMM data.
