SMM12, May 5: recently, the family name of the new BYD series model was officially announced, named "Han." This is the fifth product family since "Qin" founded BYD's "Dynasty Series" in 2012. At present, "Dynasty Series" includes "Qin", "Han", "Tang", "Song" and "Yuan" five product families.
BYD officials have revealed many details of its latest model, the Han, such as test videos, interior designs, car logos and so on.
It is understood that "Han" will be matched with "lithium iron phosphate battery" with a maximum life of 600 km, which is developed by BYD to ensure the safety of electric vehicles. The volume specific energy density of the battery will be increased by 50%, and the energy density will be similar to the existing NCM622, but the discharge rate will be greatly increased, with a life span of up to 8 years and 1.2 million km, and the cost can be saved by 30%. This has almost become the focus of attention.
Second, the body length, width and height of the car are 49501890 1490mm and the wheelbase is 2940mm, which is the parameter of a large car with a standard wheelbase, and the body size makes a direct comparison between Han and competitive Tesla.
Compared with Tesla imported model 3 performance model, Tesla imported model 3 performance model body length, width and height of 4694 1850 1443mm, endurance mileage of 595km, less than 600km. Judging from the published mileage data, Han has a clear advantage over the domestic version of Tesla, considering that BYD as a domestic car relative performance version of the model 3 may have some advantages in price. In addition, it has an advantage in range and spatial performance.
It is reported that Han, as a new member of the company's new energy queue, is expected to go public in June next year. Judging from market expectations, Han seems to be on track to overtake the model 3 as a star model.
