Swedish company Grange to acquire Polish Koning Aluminium

SMM: Sweden's Grangis reportedly said on Thursday that it had agreed to buy Polish aluminum producer Aluminium Konin, for 2.3 billion Swedish kronor ($239 million) to expand its presence in Europe and improve its position in growth areas such as electric vehicle materials.

The company has an annual aluminum capacity of about 100000 tons and sales of 3 billion kroons in the 12 months to September, with a profit of 338 million kroons before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization.
