Primary aluminium inventories extended decline by 18,000 mt over weekend

Stocks decreased by 18,000 mt from Nov 21 to 781,000 mt as of Nov 25

SHANGHAI, Nov 25 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary aluminium in China extended their decline over the weekend, as stocks in Nanhai, Hangzhou and Gongyi fell sharply.

SMM data showed that stocks across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, decreased by 18,000 mt from last Thursday November 21 to 781,000 mt as of Monday November 25.

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 240,000 mt

Shanghai – 137,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 234,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 37,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 51,000 mt

Tianjin – 55,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 5,000 mt

Chongqing –22,000 mt

Social inventories of lead ingots across Shanghai, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Tianjin expanded 13,600 mt from last Friday July 23 to 172,600 mt as of July 30. This was up 6,500 mt from Monday July 26 and registered a new high since October 2014.
