Argentina to impose anti-dumping duties on aluminium tubes from China, Brazil

Duty of 69.03% of FOB prices will be applied to products originating in China

SHANGHAI, Nov 20 (SMM) – Argentina will impose anti-dumping duties on certain aluminium tubes from China and Brazil for four months, starting from November 11, according to a preliminary determination by the Ministry of Production and Labor of the South American country.

Duty of 69.03% of FOB prices will be applied to products originating in China, while duty of 12.30% of FOB prices will be for products from Brazil.

The products involved were 3XXX series and 6XXX series non-formed unalloyed or alloyed aluminum tubes (including rolled aluminum tubes) with an outer tube diameter of 130 mm or less as per Article 681 of Argentine IRAM National Standard, and under HS codes 7608.10.00 and 7608.20.90.

This anti-dumping investigation followed the application lodged by Aluminium Manufacturers Express S.A.
