SHANGHAI, Nov 18 (SMM) – China’s wire rod output fell to a seven-month low of 13.46 million mt in October, up 0.5% from the corresponding month of 2018, showed the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
For the first 10 months of 2019, production of wire rod amounted to 132.71 million mt, up 10.4% from the same period last year.
NBS data also showed that China’s rebar output rebounded to 22.07 million mt in October, up 11.9 year on year.
Production of rebar in January-October totalled 206.96 million mt, up 18.4% on a yearly basis.
