SHANGHAI, Nov 14 (SMM) – China’s production of primary aluminium fell 1.8% from a year ago and 0.7% from a month ago to 2.88 million mt in October, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said Thursday November 14.
This brought output in the first 10 months of 2019 to 29.24 million mt, up 0.7% from the same period a year earlier, slower than a 1.1% increase in January-September.
NBS data also showed that China's production of 10 nonferrous metals, including copper, aluminium, lead, zinc and nickel, totaled 4.97 million mt last month, up 4.6% year on year.
In January-October, output of the 10 nonferrous metals amounted to 48.15 million mt, with a year-over-year increase of 4.6%.
