SHANGHAI, Nov 8 (SMM) – China’s imports of copper concentrate expanded 23% from a month ago to 1.91 million mt in October, after two consecutive months of declines, showed data from the General Administration of Customs on Friday November 8.
On a year-over-year basis, copper concentrate imports grew 22% last month.
For the first 10 months of 2019, China’s imports of copper concentrate totaled 17.92 million mt, up 8.3% from the same period last year.
Customs data also showed that China’s imports of unwrought copper and copper products fell 3.15% from September to 431,000 mt in October.
This brought imports of unwrought copper and copper products in January-October to 3.97 million mt, down 10% year on year.
