Exports of electrolytic manganese and manganese products increased in September 2019 compared with August

According to customs data, China's total export of electrolytic manganese and manganese products in September 2019 was 45820 tons, of which the export volume of electrolytic manganese (unwrought manganese; waste scrap; powder) was 40959 tons, up 23.07% from 33280 tons in August and 14.31% from 35830 tons in September 2018.

In addition, in September 2019, China exported 4861 tons of forged manganese and manganese products, an increase of 2330 tons over August.

The export volume of electrolytic manganese in September 2019 is as follows: 10090 tons to South Korea, 9333 tons to the Netherlands, 5662 tons to the Russian Federation, 3725 tons to Japan, 3213 tons to India and 1970 tons to Brazil. In September, the main exports of manganese products were 1757 tons in India, 1571 tons in the United States, 424 tons in the Netherlands, 375 tons in Brazil, 320 tons in Japan and 190 tons in South Korea.

According to SMM, compared with the previous exports of electrolytic manganese in July and August, the increase in manganese exports in September was expected by most domestic industry, mainly due to the corresponding reduction in the demand for domestic electrolytic manganese and manganese products during the summer recess of overseas steel mills in July and August, while most overseas steel mills resumed production and increased demand release in September. According to the overall spot price of electrolytic manganese, the average price in September was 11300 yuan / ton. The average price of the month-on-month was 100 yuan / ton higher than that in August.
