China crude steel production rose 2.2% on year in Sep

Global crude steel production dipped 0.3% to 151.5 million mt in Sep

SHANGHAI, Oct 28 (SMM) – The World Steel Association (Worldsteel) said on Friday October 25 that crude steel production across 64 countries dipped 0.3% from a year ago to stand at 151.5 million mt in September.

Global crude steel production increased 3.4% year on year to 156 million mt in August.

In China, crude steel production expanded 2.2% from a year ago to 82.8 million mt last month. This was down from 87.3 million mt from a month ago, according to data from the association.
