[SMM data] interpretation of China's stainless Steel Import and Export data-- China's net stainless Steel Export increased by 62% in September compared with the same period last year

China's stainless steel imports rose 9.53 per cent to 101600 tonnes in September, while China's stainless steel exports fell 1.35 per cent in September from a month earlier, up 7.14 per cent from a year earlier to 336900 tonnes, according to customs data.

Import of stainless Steel in China

According to customs data, China's stainless steel imports rose 9.53 percent to 101600 tons in September, including 51200 tons of stainless steel from Indonesia. Imports of coil increased by 18.87 per cent to 70300 tons. From January to September, imports decreased by 41.50 per cent to 885000 tons, of which coil imports also decreased by 31.05 per cent to 557600 tons.

Export of stainless Steel in China

In September, China's stainless steel exports decreased by 1.35% from a month earlier, an increase of 7.14% to 336900 tons, of which coil exports increased by 2.38% month-on-month and 12.55% to 240700 tons compared with the same period last year. Stainless steel exports fell 13.58 per cent to 2.7066 million tons from January to September compared with the same period a year earlier.

Net export of stainless steel from China

Net exports of stainless steel rose 29 per cent to 248800 tons in September 2019 from a year earlier, and 12.52 per cent to 1.822 million tons in January-September 2019 compared with the same period a year earlier.

Imports of stainless steel from Indonesia

Indonesian stainless steel imports rose 46 per cent to 38000 tonnes in August 2019 and fell 59 per cent to 355300 tonnes in January-August 2019 compared with the same period last year (862800 tonnes in January-August 2018).

4. Imports of stainless steel from Indonesia

Indonesian stainless steel imports rose 35 per cent to 51200 tons in September 2019, while Indonesian stainless steel imports fell-41.50 per cent to 885000 tons from January to September 2019 compared with the same period last year (961300 tons in January-August 2018).
