According to the approval list of the 13th batch of imported waste aluminum released on Thursday, the import of waste aluminum by major imported waste aluminum enterprises has been greatly reduced by 85%, and the 13th batch of imported waste aluminum has been approved for a total of 44935 tons, corresponding to the import volume of 274955 tons in the third quarter, a drop of 83.66%.

SMM10, 18 March:

According to the approval list for the 13th batch of imported waste aluminum released on Thursday, the import of waste aluminum by major imported waste aluminum enterprises dropped by 85 percent, with the 13th batch of imported waste aluminum totaling 44935 tons, corresponding to the import volume of 274955 tons in the third quarter, a drop of 83.66 percent. The detailed list of enterprises is as follows:

The sharp reduction in approval in the fourth quarter was circulated in the market as early as the end of September, which is only fully confirmed and the actual impact is limited. Taking into account the current stage of recycled aluminum enterprises generally low inventory, the order is relatively stable, its willingness to replenish the warehouse is still strong, the domestic waste aluminum supply will continue to be tight in the fourth quarter. Due to the relatively limited number of imported aluminum alloy ingots in October, the shortage of high probability waste aluminum continues, and some of the imported aluminum ingots from November to December will alleviate the shortage of domestic waste aluminum supply to a certain extent, but it is still relatively limited.
