SHANGHAI, Oct 18 (SMM) – Social inventories of silicon metal across Huangpu port, Kunming city, and Tianjin port continued to increase by 11,000 mt from October 11 and stood at 92,000 mt as of Friday October 18, showed SMM data.
Restocking by traders lifted silicon stocks at ports. Delivery under long-term contracts also boosted the volume of cargoes at ports.
SMM expects silicon stockpiles across different regions in China to remain in upward trend in the weeks ahead.
