SHANGHAI, Oct 18 (SMM) – China produced 82.77 million mt of crude steel in September, up 2.2% from a year ago, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) released on Friday October 18.
In August, China’s production of crude steel rose 9.3% year on year to 87.25 million mt.
For the first nine months of 2019, production reached 747.82 million mt, up 8.4% from the same period last year, slower than a 9.1% rate in January-August.
