In the third quarter, initial sales of gold and copper were 1.32 million ounces and 640000 pounds, respectively, compared with initial production of 1.31 million ounces and 111 million pounds in the third quarter.

In terms of copper production, copper production in the third quarter was higher than in the second quarter as a result of the increase in production at the Lumwana copper mine in Zambia.
