SHANGHAI, Oct 12 (SMM) – Retail sales of passenger vehicles in China fell in September for a third straight month, declining 6.6% from a year earlier to 1.81 million units, according to data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).
On a monthly basis, retail sales of sedans, multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs), sport utility vehicles (SUVs) and minivans rose 13.8% last month, larger than a 5.4% increase in August.
For the first nine months of 2019, sales came in at 15.03 million units, down 8.6% from the same period last year. Sales in January-August declined 8.9% year on year.
