Penasquito gold mine blockade lifted 11000 ounces of gold production affected

The illegal blockade of the company's Penasquito gold mine, which has lasted for three weeks, has ended, Newmont Goldcorp said a few days ago. But the company said that although the blockade had been lifted, the mine had not resumed normal operation and was still in a state of suspension. The company needs to conduct a further assessment of the situation on the ground to ensure that there will be no more blockades.

SMM10, March 10 -: Newmont Goldcorp said a few days ago that the illegal blockade of the company's Penasquito gold mine had ended, and the blockade lasted three weeks.

But the company said that although the blockade had been lifted, the mine had not resumed normal operation and was still in a state of suspension. The company needs to conduct a further assessment of the situation on the ground to ensure that there will be no more blockades.

The blockade affected the company's production in the third quarter, including 11000 ounces of gold, 1.7 million ounces of silver, 13.7 million pounds of lead and 22.8 million pounds of zinc.
