Long steel social inventories in Guangzhou rose 5.4%

Stocks increased by 5.39% to 892,200 mt.

SHANGHAI, Oct 8 (SMM) – Social inventories of long steel (including wire rods and rebar) in Guangzhou of Guangdong province increased to 892,200 mt as of Tuesday October 8, 5.39% higher from September 25, SMM data showed.

Stocks were 11.83% higher than the same period last year.

During the same period, rebar inventories across the region rose 2.7% to 430,000 mt, 1.42% higher than a year ago.

Stocks of wire rods grew 8.02% to 462,200 mt, with a year on year increase of 23.6%.
