Primary aluminium inventories rose 75,000 mt over holiday

SHANGHAI, Oct 8 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary aluminium in China expanded over the week after the National Day holiday, stemming several weeks of declines, as cargo arrival increased while trade was muted.  

SMM data showed that stocks across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, increased by 75,000 mt from September 30 to 969,000 mt as of Tuesday October 8.

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 270,000 mt

Shanghai – 173,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 301,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 88,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 54,000 mt

Tianjin – 54,000 mt                

Linyi, Shandong – 8,000 mt

Chongqing –21,000 mt
