China mulls national standards for renewable material for cast aluminium alloys

China will remain open to foreign raw material supplies after solid waste imports are totally banned in 2020

SHANGHAI, Sep 16 (SMM) – China will roll out a national guideline for renewable material for cast aluminium alloys, to remain open to foreign raw material supplies after solid waste imports are totally banned in 2020.

The National Technical Committee on Nonferrous Metals of Standardization Administration of China in May issued the national standards on renewable material for cast aluminium alloys for public opinion.

Appearance, size, composition, metal content, recovery rate and test methods etc. of aluminium scrap for secondary aluminium are stipulated in the guideline.
