[SMM analysis] upstream merchants are optimistic that praseodymium and neodymium prices will rise slightly within the next week.

SMM, 12 Sept.

This week, only praseodymium oxide and neodymium oxide prices increased slightly, Friday praseodymium oxide neodymium oxide quoted 32.8-333000 yuan / ton, neodymium oxide rose to 33-335000 yuan / ton, dysprosium oxide quoted 192-1.94 million yuan / ton, terbium oxide quoted 393-3.95 million yuan / ton. This week, the prices of praseodymium and neodymium oxide have stabilized compared with the previous period. The main reason is that the price of praseodymium and neodymium oxide has increased rapidly in the previous week. At present, upstream businesses are still bullish on the future market. In addition, in the September listing prices announced by the Northern rare Earth Group, the prices of praseodymium neodymium oxide, metal praseodymium neodymium and metal neodymium have all risen compared with the previous period, which have played a certain role in boosting market confidence. The northern rare earths announced the listing price of the next trading day, upstream businesses generally raised praseodymium oxide neodymium oxide and neodymium oxide quotation. However, metal and downstream magnetic materials enterprises generally accept high praseodymium and neodymium oxide. In addition, near the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, the downstream buying is weaker than the previous period, limiting the increase of praseodymium neodymium and neodymium.

It is expected that the prices of praseodymium neodymium oxide and neodymium oxide will gradually pick up with the purchase of downstream enterprises and tighten the supply in the second half of the year. In the aspect of medium and heavy rare earths, the tightening of raw material supply has not been alleviated. Although some enterprises reduce the amount of dysprosium oxide and use other alternatives, it is expected that the prices of medium and heavy rare earth products will continue to rise steadily in the future.

[focus] 2019 China rare Earth permanent Magnet Industry Market Application Development Forum

As a result of the Sino-US trade war, rare earths have become the focus of global attention. China has the largest rare earth industry resources and export share in the world. The world is highly dependent on China's rare earths, especially the United States. In the future, China will make good use of the development advantages of the rare earth industry, how to improve the development of the industry, and monitor and crack down on black rare earths in order to standardize the ecological environment of the industry. Whether the rare earth industry has become a rising star after it has been mentioned as a strategic development industry, Whether the rare earth enterprise ushered in the tuyere? How will the price of rare earths go? At the "2019 China rare Earth permanent Magnet Industry Market Application Development Forum", SMM will invite industry experts and enterprise bigwigs to interpret market focus topics for everyone, and provide technical professional guidance for the high-quality development of enterprises, so as to help enterprises have more advantages in the fierce competition.
