Silicon social inventories gain 2,000 mt amid poor trades

Stocks inched up 2,000 mt from Sep 6 to stand at 61,000 mt as of Sep 12

SHANGHAI, Sep 12 (SMM) – Social inventories of silicon metal across Huangpu port, Kunming city, and Tianjin port inched up 2,000 mt from Friday September 6 to stand at 61,000 mt as of Thursday September 12, showed SMM data.

As transactions remained poor, social warehouses saw limited inflows or outflows, and few arrivals stayed for long.

SMM data showed that social inventories of refined zinc ingots across Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong and Hebei decreased 12,100 mt in the week ended June 25 to 116,500 mt. The stocks fell 6,400 mt from Monday June 21.
