SMM, Sept. 10: it is reported that Porsche and Ningde are in good negotiations, according to Porsche R & D director Michael Steiner, who also admitted to meeting with Ningde management on a regular basis.
Although Volkswagen, Porsche's parent company, has made Ningde Times one of its power battery suppliers, Porsche has not yet decided whether to add other suppliers.
However, reports say Porsche hopes to get a 10 per cent tax exemption in China next year, the same as the tax exemption for the Tesla brand, and a partnership between Porsche and Ningde will help it achieve that goal. There is a great possibility that the supply of Porsche in Ningde era will help to further enhance its market competitiveness.
Porsche recently released its first pure electric momentum car, the Taycan, using lithium batteries produced by South Korea's LG Chemical.
Over the past few years, Ningde era has been expanding in the European market. Ningde era is currently the world's largest supplier of power batteries.
