Primary aluminium inventories decline 14,000 mt over weekend

Stocks decreased by 14,000 mt from Sep 5 to stand at 992,000 mt as of Sep 9

SHANGHAI, Sep 9 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary aluminium in China continued to fall over the weekend, as stocks in Gongyi, Henan, dropped on fewer arrivals.

SMM data showed that stocks across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, decreased by 14,000 mt from Thursday September 5 to stand at 992,000 mt as of Monday September 9.

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 295,000 mt

Shanghai – 190,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 289,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 86,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 52,000 mt

Tianjin – 53,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 10,000 mt

Chongqing –17,000 mt
