SHANGHAI, Aug 27 (SMM) – China’s passenger vehicle sales are expected to decline 2.2% from a year earlier in September, according to the projects jointly released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) and consulting firm WAYS last week.
Wholesale volumes of sedans, multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs) and sport utility vehicles (SUVs) are likely to stand at 1.98 million units next month.
This will rise 29.8% from sales in July, as carmakers will launch new models and step up sales to meet their quarterly targets, and recovering retail sales will ease inventory pressure at deals. Weak macro environment, however, will cap the sales growth.
