SHANGHAI, Aug 23 (SMM) – Licensed smelters of secondary lead in Jiangsu, Anhui and Henan maintained stable operations this week, with the average operating rate unchanged from a week ago at 56.1%, showed an SMM survey.
The respective rates across smelters in the three provinces barely changed from the prior week in the week ended August 23, 50% in Jiangsu, 55.1% in Anhui and 69.6% in Henan.
Jiangsu’s New Chunxing lowered its daily battery scrap processing volume to over 1,000 mt, as it used more lead sludge or slag to drain the high inventories.
