Greater arrivals grow primary aluminium inventories by 12,000 mt on week

Stocks increased by 12,000 mt from a week ago to stand at 1.063 million mt as of Aug 22

SHANGHAI, Aug 22 (SMM) – Social inventories of primary aluminium in China rose for a fourth straight week this week, as some regions saw greater arrivals.

SMM data showed that stocks across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, increased by 12,000 mt from a week ago to stand at 1.063 million mt as of Thursday August 22.

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 321,000 mt

Shanghai – 199,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 302,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 101,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 55,000 mt

Tianjin – 54,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 13,000 mt

Chongqing –18,000 mt
