Aluminium billet inventories shrink 2,400 mt on week

Stocks decreased 2,200 mt in the previous week

SHANGHAI, Aug 22 (SMM) – Inventories of aluminium billet in China extended their declines this week while consumption remained sluggish.

SMM data showed that stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across five major consumption areas decreased some 2,400 mt from Thursday August 15 to stand at 91,300 mt as of Thursday August 22, after they decreased 2,200 mt in the previous week.

Foshan, Guangdong – 40,800 mt

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 17,900 mt

Changzhou, Jiangsu – 15,000 mt

Huzhou, Zhejiang – 9,000 mt

Nanchang, Jiangxi – 8,600 mt
