Large iron-rich deposit discovered in Shandong

SHANGHAI, Aug 21 (SMM) – A new iron-rich mine with an average Fe grade of 55.97% was discovered in the Litun orefield in Qihe-Yucheng area of Shandong province, the Shandong Bureau of Coal Geology announced on August 15. 

The mine has a maximum iron grade of 66.46%, and an average magnet grade of 49.32%. 

The discovery is likely to facilitate the establishment of a large iron-rich mine development base in Shandong.
