SMM News: recently, the staff of Shandong Coalfield Geological Bureau recently drilled ore in the Litun iron mining area of Qihe-Yucheng area: the average grade of total iron of ore is 55.97%, the average grade of magnet is 49.32%, the highest grade of total iron is 66.46%, and the grade change is more uniform. This indicates that a new major breakthrough has been made in deep prospecting of rich iron ore deposits in Shandong Province.

According to relevant staff of the Coal Geology Bureau of Shandong Province, after the first discovery of the rich iron ore in 2015, a 1200 square kilometer "national integrated exploration area of Qihe-Yucheng rich iron ore" was set up. In order to strengthen the exploration, the "empty-ground-well" three-dimensional coordinated exploration of the "gravity-magnetic-electric-seismic-well" multiple geophysical method was carried out, and finally, in late June this year, two layers of orebodies were encountered during drilling, with a cumulative thickness of nearly 66 meters. Among them, the thickness of the main orebody is 57.33 meters, which has made a new breakthrough in rich iron ore prospecting.

According to reports, at present, the Litun, Pandian, and Dazhang iron ore deposits have been found in the Qihe-Yucheng rich iron ore exploration area, and it is expected to build another large-scale rich iron ore development base in Shandong Province. this is of great strategic significance to alleviate the severe situation faced by China's rich iron ore resources and improve the guarantee degree of China's iron ore resources.
